The Zagat-winning Grant grill surrounds guests with history while at the same time offering authentic Californian cuisine. Using locally grown, market-fresh produce, it serves inventive dishes that pair perfectly with regional wines and beers.
Opened in 1951, the Grant Grill immediately established itself as San Diego's premier dining experience. Today, the graceful wood-paneled restaurant has become an icon of elegance, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week to both city residents and tourists, who come in search of the authentic Californian cuisine. The seasonal menu, served on sophisticated cream linens, is created by Chef de Cuisine Chris Kurth and Executive Chef Mark Kropczynski, who work to incorporate the best California produce, fresh Pacific seafood, sustainable meats and poultry, and fresh herbs into their award-winning offerings.
Start off the day with farm-fresh eggs, homemade pastries, French Vanilla Brioche toast, or a house-smoked salmon omelet. For lunch or dinner - in addition to elaborate tasting menus - exquisite options include signature dishes like Jumbo Diver Scallops, Grant Grill Mock Turtle Soup, or Dry Aged Prime Rib Eye with Chanterelle Mushrooms, Marrow, Onoway Potatoes, and Sauce Bordelaise.
The Grant Grill's main dining room seats up to 85 guests or private parties of up to 140. Parties of up to 12 can be seated in the Private Dining Room.
